Here is our review of the upcoming free to play MMORPG. The developer, Pearl Abyss, is seeking to create a sandbox style MMORPG world. Maybe I'll wait for the next chapter's release, then I'll have a ton to do and catch up on.Black Desert is an ambitious project. I also enjoy the action oriented targeting way more than tab/click targeting of WoW. That said, I definitely miss the questing and exploration in ESO. I also enjoy the auction house way more than guild vendors, it's such a hassle. Not having to deal with the weapon swap combat is a breath of fresh air too, due to the somewhat common lag spikes I get on ESO. All of the cool costumes and mounts in ESO are, unfortunately, locked away in the store or the awful crates. The classes feel much more unique than ESO's, as well as the game having so many cool transmogs, pets, mounts and more that you can get from just playing the game. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I'm enjoying a lot about it. I went over to WoW to give it a try a month before BFA came out and ended up buying into that. I quit just after Summerset, having been a player ever since beta. I really need to come back to ESO sometime soon. Earthgore is literally everywhere now because the golden gave it away without having to deal with Vet Bloodroot Forge (arguably one of the hardest vet dlc dungeons in the game)īattlegrounds is a little more tame but it's glitchy and pre-mades of 4 will usually overcome all. The dungeons aren't hard but so many damn people are afraid to go in that sets like Zaan are a rarity to see. I pray for the veterans still fighting the good fight in PvP when the golden sells Zaan. The DLC Monster Helmets feel like they were designed with the idea that not every damn player past cp400+ would have that helmet. I know it sounds elitist but when they gave out an uber-heal set to everyone, everyone just wears it and forms ballgroups causing a severe unbalance where you either are an Earthgore ballgroup getting AP or you're the players without an Earthgore ballgroup being farmed for AP The problem with PvP is that it hands hard-fought rewards like Earthgore to the general masses who otherwise would never have it because they're incapable of competing in end-game Vet DLC Dungeons. It rewards some of the best gear in the game (spell strategist for mag DPS, Battlelion Defender is decent for tanks, Ravager can be bought from Vlastaurus and is one of the best DPS sets for stam)Īll that stuff can be bought but it gets pretty pricey when AP is 1000x easier to get if you zerg up.
